StreetWalk 2009 was an amazing success and met with a community response of “let’s do it again next year – only bigger!” Accordingly, Detroit Avenue programming has been expanded to include more than 50 organizations each with its own activity, from square dancing to hip-hop, from skateboarding to basketball. We’ve also invited food vendors to offer on-the-street refreshment. New this year is a 5K Run and Children’s Run, capping off a day that celebrates active, healthy lifestyles.”
