Lakewood is located along the shores of Lake Erie, 5 miles west of Cleveland's Public Square. The City's 5.6 square miles are composed primarily of a vintage residential community offering diversity in housing from modest single homes and apartments to luxury “Gold Coast” condominiums and homes of distinct architectural design located within a national historic district. Lakewood is recognized for its tree-lined streets, excellent school system and outstanding City services. Lakewood has many opportunities for community involvement. Our residents are commited to a great city, and work together on events and programs throughout the year. From summer events like StreeWalk and Arts Festival, to Light Up Lakewood, there is always something happening on any given weekend. So, we have a great location, incredible architecture, yummy restaurants, and entertainment and culture that any suburb would die for. You would think that would be enough, but it’s really not what we are most proud of. The VERY BEST part of Lakewood are the businesses and resident’s that make our city home. Welcome to Lakewood!
